ISRO Recruitment 2026: Scientist Engineer SC, JRF & Project Scientist Openings

ISRO’s current opportunities page lists multiple recruitment openings in September 2026. Candidates should check the individual advertisement because eligibility, discipline, experience and selection method differ by centre and post.

ISRO maintains a consolidated All Current Opportunities page. Candidates should use that page and the linked advertisement as the final authority.

How to Evaluate an ISRO Vacancy

ISRO recruitment is not one uniform examination. Different centres and employment arrangements can have different qualification, age, tenure, remuneration and selection requirements. Candidates should first identify whether an opening is a regular Scientist/Engineer recruitment, a research fellowship, a project appointment or a senior executive position.

Regular vs Project/Research Opportunities

A regular technical recruitment normally has a defined post and career structure, while a JRF, Research Associate or Project Scientist opening is tied to a research or project requirement and may have a different tenure. Applicants should therefore read the engagement type before comparing vacancies.

Application Verification Checklist

1. Open the exact advertisement linked from the ISRO opportunities page.
2. Confirm the centre, post title and discipline.
3. Check the required degree, percentage/grade and experience conditions.
4. Review age limits, category relaxations and closing date.
5. Read the selection method and document requirements.
6. Save the application acknowledgement and advertisement.
