Candidate-action update | Result notice dated 29 October 2026

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the Physical Endurance Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST) result for the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2025. The result was posted on 29 October 2026 and shortlists candidates for the next written stage, Paper-II. It is a stage result—not a final recommendation or appointment list.

How to check the SSC CPO PET/PST result

  1. Open the official SSC portal: ssc.gov.in.
  2. Go to the Results section and locate the notice titled “Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2025: Declaration of result of PET/PST to shortlist candidates for appearing in Paper-II”, dated 29 October 2026.
  3. Open the applicable result PDF: female candidates (List-I), male candidates (List-II) or withheld candidates (List-III).
  4. Use the PDF search function (Ctrl+F on a computer) to locate your roll number. Check the complete entry, not just a partial match.
  5. Save the result document and read the result write-up for next-stage instructions, eligibility conditions and any withheld/temporary-unfit remarks.

SSC’s result PDFs are the authority for individual status. This guide does not reproduce roll-number lists, and candidates should not rely on third-party screenshots or messages for qualification.

What happens next?

Candidates who qualify PET/PST are eligible to proceed to Paper-II, subject to the examination rules and candidate-specific conditions. The result notice lists Paper-II on 28 November 2026 as a tentative date. Candidates must watch SSC and the relevant regional office for the Admission Certificate, centre, shift, reporting time and any revised schedule. The date should not be treated as an unconditional final timetable until the Commission confirms it.

Paper-II is a subsequent examination stage; PET/PST qualification does not itself confer final selection. The recruitment process continues through the remaining prescribed stages, including medical examination and document verification as applicable. Final recommendations depend on the complete selection procedure, vacancies, merit and eligibility.

Important distinction: 2025 recruitment versus 2026 exam cycle

SSC also has a separate Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPFs Examination, 2026, whose Computer Based Examination is scheduled for 23–28 November 2026 under the revised calendar. That is not the Paper-II date for candidates in the 2025 recruitment cycle. The two notices relate to different examination years and different stages:

  • SSC CPO 2025: PET/PST result on 29 October 2026; Paper-II tentatively 28 November 2026.
  • SSC CPO 2026: recruitment examination CBE on 23–28 November 2026.

Keeping the cycle and stage separate avoids a common candidate error when reading calendars and admit-card alerts.

Candidate checklist

  • Confirm the roll number in the correct result list.
  • Read the result write-up and any withheld or temporary-unfit remarks.
  • Keep the SSC registration details and result PDF safely stored.
  • Monitor the official SSC and regional websites for Paper-II Admission Certificate and schedule updates.
  • Do not assume that qualification in PET/PST is a final selection or appointment.
  • Use only official portals for candidate login and document downloads.
