  • Income Tax Filing Extended Deadline: The deadline for filing Income Tax Returns (ITR) for individuals and HUFs who do not need account auditing has been extended till September 15, 2025, for FY 2024-25 (AY 2025-26). Originally scheduled for July 31, 2025, this extension provides additional time for taxpayers to complete their filings.

  • NPS to UPS Switch Deadline Extended: Central government employees have until September 30, 2025, to switch from the National Pension System (NPS) to the newly introduced Unified Pension Scheme (UPS).
