1. Prime Minister Inaugurates Micron Semiconductor Facility in Gujarat

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Micron Technology’s semiconductor Assembly, Test, Marking and Packaging (ATMP) facility at Sanand, Gujarat.

  • The facility is part of India’s Semiconductor Mission aimed at building domestic chip manufacturing capability.

  • Micron Technology announced an investment of about $2.75 billion (approximately ₹22,500 crore) in the project.

  • The semiconductor plant will focus on assembly and testing of DRAM and NAND memory chips.

  • The project is expected to create 5,000 direct jobs and around 15,000 indirect jobs in the technology sector.

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi Conferred Israel’s Parliamentary Honour

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the “Speaker of the Knesset Medal”, the highest honour of the Parliament of Israel (Knesset).

  • The honour was awarded following his historic address to the Israeli Parliament.

3. Rajya Sabha Elections 2026
