  1. Projecting India’s Economic Growth (UN-DESA Report)

    • The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN-DESA) projected India’s GDP growth at 6.6% in 2026 and 6.7% in 2027 based on the World Economic Situation and Prospects (WESP) 2026report.

    • Global growth is expected to moderate to 2.7% in 2026, with global trade growth slowing to 2.2%.

    • Domestic GDP (NSO first advance estimates) shows 7.4% growth for FY26, while State Bank of India’s Ecowrap projects 7.5% GDP growth for FY26.
