SSC CGL 2026

SSC CGL is the flagship graduate-level SSC recruitment examination for Group B and Group C posts. The 2026 notice opened online applications from 21 May to 22 June 2026, with Tier-I tentatively scheduled for August–September 2026 and Tier-II for December 2026.

The current CGL structure should be studied from the 2026 notice rather than from older four-tier descriptions. Candidates should prepare for the computer-based stages, post-specific requirements and the current normalization/selection framework stated by SSC.

SSC CHSL 2026

SSC CHSL is the major 10+2-level recruitment examination for posts such as LDC/JSA and DEO, subject to the post-wise eligibility and vacancy requirements in the current notice. The 2026 calendar places Tier-I in the July–September 2026 window.

Do not confuse the active CHSL 2026 cycle with the older CHSL 2025 result and skill-test stages. For preparation, focus on the current Tier-I subjects, speed, accuracy and the post-specific skill/typing requirements.

Other Major SSC Examinations

SSC MTS & Havaldar

The 2026 calendar places the MTS and Havaldar examination in the September–November 2026 window. MTS is a CBE-based recruitment, while Havaldar candidates also face physical efficiency/standard requirements as prescribed in the notification.

SSC CPO

SSC CPO recruits Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police and CAPFs. The 2026 calendar places Paper-I in the October–November 2026 examination window. Candidates should prepare separately for the computer-based papers and physical stage.

SSC Stenographer

The 2026 Stenographer Grade C & D examination is tentatively scheduled for August–September 2026. Because shorthand/skill performance is decisive after the computer-based test, candidates should practise the qualifying skill from the beginning of preparation.

SSC Selection Post Phase-XIV

Selection Post Phase-XIV 2026 is listed for the May–July 2026 exam window. The key point is that eligibility, subjects and qualification requirements vary by post, so the post-wise notice must be checked carefully.

SSC GD Constable 2027

The SSC calendar schedules the GD Constable 2027 recruitment cycle for applications in September–October 2026 and the CBE in January–March 2027, followed by the physical and other stages prescribed for the recruitment.

How SSC Selection Works

SSC does not use one universal pattern for every recruitment. Depending on the examination, selection may involve one or more computer-based papers, descriptive/skill components, typing tests, physical tests, document verification and medical standards.

  • Read the current notification for the exact stage sequence.
  • Check post-wise age, education, reservation and physical requirements.
  • Do not use old exam-pattern articles as the final authority when SSC has issued a newer notice.

SSC 2026 Preparation Strategy

  1. Build the common base: Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English and General Awareness are the core areas across many SSC exams.
  2. Use current affairs selectively: revise important national, international, government, economy and science developments, especially those relevant to one-day exams.
  3. Practise by exam: CGL requires deeper quantitative and reasoning practice than many 10+2-level exams; CHSL needs speed and accuracy; CPO/GD additionally require physical preparation.
  4. Track official changes: application dates, city intimation, admit cards, answer keys, results and final vacancies can change during the cycle.
