Eligibility and application precautions
- Read NIFT’s Admissions Guidelines 2027 and the NIFTEE Information Bulletin.
- Check programme-specific age, qualification, subject combination and category requirements. A general summary is not a substitute for the chosen programme’s rules.
- Apply online only through the official NTA NIFTEE portal.
- Upload photograph, signature and documents in the prescribed format. Aadhaar e-KYC/live photo may be required; PwD/PwBD candidates should check UDID/certificate instructions.
- Review all entries and retain the application number, payment receipt and confirmation page.
- Use the correction window only for fields NTA enables; not every eligibility detail can be changed.
What is NIFT and why NIFTEE matters?
The National Institute of Fashion Technology is an institute under the Ministry of Textiles with campuses across India. Its programmes span fashion design, technology, management and creative/technical disciplines. NIFTEE is the entrance route for notified admissions; NTA handles application and examination administration, while NIFT’s admission guidelines specify programme eligibility and selection stages.
Preparation should begin with the syllabus and pattern for the chosen programme. Confirm whether the route includes GAT, CAT or another component and practise accordingly. B.Des., B.F.Tech., M.F.M. and lateral-entry applicants should not assume identical papers or selection procedures.
