Who should examine this recruitment?
This is not a general graduate-level recruitment. The three examinations are tied to specialised work:
- Assistant Architect Planner: candidates with the architecture and planning qualifications specified in the advertisement should examine the post-wise eligibility, recognised degree/diploma requirements and any experience conditions.
- Sports Officer: applicants should check the prescribed graduation, coaching qualification, sports experience and certificate-recognition rules. Sports achievements or coaching credentials must be documented in the format required by UPPSC.
- Programmer Grade-2: applicants with the prescribed computer/programming qualification should check the exact degree, diploma or certification requirement and any experience/technical criteria.
Do not infer eligibility from a job title alone. The detailed advertisement controls qualification, age, category relaxation, experience, reservation, fee, examination scheme and document requirements. Candidates appearing in a required qualification should not assume they are eligible unless the notification expressly permits it.
OTR and online application: practical steps
- Open the UPPSC official notification page and locate Advertisement A-5/E-1/2026.
- If you do not have an OTR number, complete One Time Registration. The commission advises candidates to obtain the OTR number at least 72 hours before submitting the online application.
- Use the OTR-based application link for the correct examination—Assistant Architect Planner, Sports Officer or Programmer Grade-2.
- Read the complete advertisement and its annexures. Check post-wise eligibility, age cut-off, category, fee, certificates and examination instructions.
- Complete the form, pay the fee through the prescribed online process and verify every field before final submission.
- Save the submitted application, payment acknowledgement and OTR details. Monitor the commission’s notice page for corrigenda, correction instructions, exam district information and admit-card updates.
Application and correction window
The online application and fee deadline is 4 December 2026. The commission’s schedule provides time until 11 December 2026 for fee reconciliation and correction/modification. This later date should not be treated as an extension of the initial application deadline unless UPPSC issues a specific notice. Candidates should submit the form and fee well before 4 December.
Selection and examination date
The official online schedule identifies three separate examination names under the same advertisement. The examination date, detailed paper pattern, qualifying rules and post-specific selection stages should be taken from the full advertisement and subsequent UPPSC notices. As of this review, the notification table does not display a confirmed examination date. Do not circulate a tentative date as official.
Common application mistakes to avoid
- Obtaining OTR too late: the commission’s 72-hour guidance can affect timely submission.
- Selecting the wrong examination or assuming that one application automatically covers all three posts.
- Using a degree or certificate that does not meet the post’s exact nomenclature, recognition or cut-off requirements.
- Entering sports experience, coaching certificates or technical credentials without supporting documents.
- Confusing 4 December (application/fee deadline) with 11 December (reconciliation/correction deadline).
- Relying on unofficial application links, fee agents or social-media messages.
UPPSC and State PSC exam relevance
UPPSC is the Uttar Pradesh state public service commission. Its specialised recruitment examinations differ from the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) examination. The Advertisement A-5/E-1/2026 group is a direct recruitment route for specified professional posts, not the general PCS route. Candidates preparing for State PSCs should distinguish advertisement-based specialised selection from the common state civil-services examination.
