UPSC NDA and Naval Academy II written result 2026 infographic showing result PDF, SSB interview steps, dates and document checklist

UPSC NDA & NA II Written Result 2026 was declared on 9 October 2026. The Union Public Service Commission has uploaded a PDF containing the roll numbers of candidates who qualified in the written examination held on 13 September 2026. Open the official NDA & NA II 2026 written-result PDF to search your roll number. Qualified candidates are eligible to proceed to the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview stage for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy and the 120th Indian Naval Academy Course.

Important: this is the written-stage result, not the final admission list. The UPSC press note says candidature remains provisional and asks successful candidates to register on the Indian Army recruiting website within two weeks of the result announcement, unless they have already registered.

How to check the NDA & NA II result

  1. Open the official UPSC NDA & NA Examination (II), 2026 page.
  2. Locate the entry titled Written Result, dated 9 October 2026, and open the official PDF.
  3. Use the PDF search function to find your complete roll number. Check every digit carefully, including leading zeros.
  4. Download and retain the official press note for your records. Do not rely only on a screenshot, forwarded message or an unofficial result list.

The PDF is a roll-number list, so candidates should check their number rather than expect an individual marksheet at this stage. If the PDF opens slowly, use the download option and search the saved file locally. A match indicates qualification for the next stage subject to the provisional conditions stated by UPSC.

What qualified candidates must do next

1. Register on the Indian Army recruitment website

The UPSC press note asks successful candidates to register online at joinindianarmy.nic.in within two weeks of the written-result announcement. Candidates who have already registered on the site do not need to register again. Since the result was announced on 9 October, treat 23 October 2026 as the two-week planning point and check the official portal for any further instructions rather than waiting until the last day.

After registration, the successful candidates will be allotted selection centres and dates for the SSB interview. The Commission says those details will be communicated to the registered email address. Keep access to the registered email active, check the inbox and spam folder, and make sure the login details are available. If a login problem arises, use the contact details in the UPSC press note instead of creating multiple registrations.

2. Keep original age and education certificates ready

UPSC specifically asks candidates to submit original certificates relating to age and educational qualification to their respective SSBs during the interview. The press note also clearly says not to send the original certificates to UPSC. Candidates should prepare the originals and any required supporting documents, while checking the instructions applicable to their SSB centre and service choice.

3. Understand the provisional status

UPSC states that the candidature of candidates whose roll numbers appear in the written-result list is provisional. A written-stage qualification therefore should not be described as final selection or a guaranteed academy seat. Candidates must complete the subsequent process and meet the applicable eligibility and medical requirements. The SSB schedule and detailed instructions should be followed as communicated by the competent authority.

Written exam and SSB: marks structure

The NDA and Naval Academy selection structure assigns 900 marks to the written examination: Mathematics carries 300 marks and the General Ability Test (GAT) carries 600. The SSB Test/Interview also carries 900 marks. This context helps explain why qualification in the written stage is only one part of the selection process; it does not imply a particular cut-off for the 2026 examination. The current cut-off should be taken from UPSC when it publishes the figures after completion of the full process. The official NDA & NA II 2026 examination page remains the primary reference.

When will marks and cut-off marks be published?

The same UPSC press note says the marks and cut-off marks for NDA & NA II 2026 will be uploaded to the Commission’s website only after the entire examination process is over, meaning after declaration of the final result. The information will remain on the website for 30 days. Candidates should not mistake the current roll-number list for a marks statement or assume that the written cut-off has already been published.

Helpdesk and official contacts

For general examination clarification, the press note lists the UPSC candidate helpdesk at 011-24041001 and 011-40303444, available from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on all days. For SSB/interview matters, candidates should use the service-specific contact details printed in the official press note, according to whether Army, Navy/Naval Academy or Air Force is their first choice. The notice lists dir-recruiting6-mod@nic.in for Indian Army website login queries.

For current and authoritative instructions, use UPSC’s examination page and the relevant service recruitment portal. Do not pay anyone to “confirm” selection, arrange an interview slot or alter a result. The roll-number list and official interview communication are the controlling sources.

What this update means for candidates

The result confirms progression from the written examination to the SSB stage for listed roll numbers, but it does not end the selection process. The most time-sensitive step is online registration within the period specified in the press note, followed by close monitoring of registered email and preparation of original age and educational certificates. Candidates who have already registered should verify that their registration is valid and their contact details remain accessible.
